bunny pops

Happy Easter everyone! Here is yet another post I should have posted ages ago. I'm sneaking it in just in the nick of time. These were really simple to make and the kiddos loved them. OK, I loved them too! I wanted the bunnies to be brown, but didn't really want to dip them all in chocolate. I thought using cocoa krispies should solve that issue, and it did. Plus it made them a little friendly for your waist. Here's how to make these sweet little bunny pops:

What you'll need:

1 9x13 pan of rice krispie treats, prepared - made using cocoa krispies
lollipop sticks
white chocolate melts
red food colouring
candy eyes
bunny cutter

Directions:

1. using your bunny cookie cutter, cut bunny shapes out of your pan of rice krispie treats
2. stick a lollipop stick in the bottom of each bunny
3. slowly melt your white chocolate and add just a tiny bit of red food colouring to create a nice shade of light pink
4. pipe on some pink chocolate for the ears, nose and 2 spots for the eyes
5. quickly press your candy eyes on the bunny where you piped the chocolate before it dries
6. enjoy!

  1. Cute. We made bunny rice krispy treats too, but we didn't turn them into pops - good idea!

  2. Oh - those are so cute! Happy Easter, Jill! Hope ... (OK, I KNOW) the Easter bunny spoiled the kiddies - he spoiled them here, too.
Prepping for Easter dinner - pies in the oven, turkey smoking on the BBQ ... can't wait!

  11. I'm thinking you could also do this by making chocolate crackles (is this just an Aussie thing??) and forming them in the bunny cutter instead of in the usual cup-cake papers. Do you think that would work? I have no idea how to make rice krispie treats, unless they're the same thing?
