fun food friday: the cow jumped over the moon

How about a super cute lunch to kick off our first fun food friday of 2012? How cute is this? I just loved the way it turned out. Another nursery rhyme turned cute. The kids absolutely adored this lunch. They are familiar with the nursery rhyme and Kirsten got it right away. She knew exactly what it was. This was actually really easy to make and here is how I made it:

To make the cow I took 2 white tortillas and using my scissors, cut out a cow shape. I cut the head separately. Then I filled the tortilla with lunchmeat and cheese. I used a whole banana as the moon. I think it worked perfectly. I used food safe markers to draw on the cow’s spots, and the cow has cute little icing eyes. I used my tiny bento cutters from All Things for Sale to cut out the tiny details on the cow (udders, cow bell, ears, etc.) and also to cut out the cheese stars on the plate. I used fruit leather and cheese for the details.

Here are the sets I used for the cow’s details from All Things for Sale – click on the picture to view them:

    Thank-you so much ladies!

Rachel – pardon my facebook ignorance, I’m very new to it all. Can I friend you if I don’t have a personal facebook page? I only have the fan page for Meet the Dubiens. As far as I know, I can’t “friend” anyone or “like” anything. If I really can, I have no idea how to do it, lol!
