This adorable bento box was for Kirsten's morning nutrition break. The top tier held a sliced cereal bar in a flower silicone muffin cup and some mini pretzels. The bottom tier held some raspberries and blackberries with an adorable bunny pick.

Here's another bento that was made for Kirsten's morning nutrition break. The top tier held some unsweetened applesauce with a sprinkling of sugar sprinkles. The bottom tier held a flower silicone muffin cup filled with craisins and a floral piece of baran and some plain cheerios.

This bento was made for Kirsten's afternoon nutrition break. The top tier held some sliced celery. The bottom tier held a chicken sandwich cut into a circle with a little cheese princess on top. The princess was made using some small plastic cutters and food safe markers. There was also a silicone muffin cup with sliced baby carrots.

Here's a bento for Kirsten's morning nutrition break. The top tier held some yogurt. The bottom tier held some sliced apples (brushed with lemon juice to prevent browning) with a cute bunny pick and a flower silicone muffin cup with a sliced cereal bar.

And lastly, another bento from Kirsten's afternoon nutrition break. The top tier held some butterfly cut cucumbers. The bottom tier held a cherry silicone cup filled with craisins and a circle cut sandwich with a marble cheese butterfly.
Here are some of the supplies I used (or similar) to make these lunches:

Love these! Cute, easy and colorful! My son will be starting grade 2 in the fall and my daughter kindergarten... I plan on equipping myself with some bento's and few accessories this summer so I can start making some lunches like these for them in fall. Thanks for sharing all your great ideas!
ReplyDeleteSo cute Jill!! Do you remember where you got that silicone mold you use (or any of the others)? I'm having a hard time trying to find one that is short enough to fit into the boxes! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHi Stephanie! You're right, not all silicone cups fit in these containers. I've been known to squish a few in there before I found these flower and rectangle ones. I actually found them at 2 places - the dollar store (if you can believe it) and a grocery store (superstore/YIG). I live in Canada though, so that probably won't help you. I also found some shorter ones at Winner's (just like a TJ Maxx) in the baking section. It was a variety pack with lots of different colors and shapes. Good luck!
DeleteThanks ladies!
ReplyDeleteyou always make the cutest little lunches. Next year my daughter will be starting school for the first time and I hope to steal some of your ideas.. I just love it!
ReplyDeletesoak apples in ginger ale for 15 mins to prevent browning and the tart flavor that comes with using lemon.
