this week in bento boxes

Sorry for the lack of posting this week! Both Kirsten and I were really sick this week and that meant not a lot of fun lunches were made! In fact, I don’t think I made one fun lunch this week. Thankfully, we are feeling much better now and hopefully I can get back on track this week. These lunches are from the unposted archives:

This adorable bento was for Cam’s afternoon nutrition break. The top tier held sliced cucumbers and whole strawberries. The bottom tier held a stack of whole wheat crackers, turkey lunch meat held together with cute picks, and some cubed marble cheese. So cute!

This bento was for Kirsten’s afternoon nutrition break and packed in our Everest Trudeal Fuel bento sandwich box. She had a sweet little birdie sandwich and I used a sprinkle for the beak and an icing eye – I used cream cheese to keep these details in place. She also had a rectangle silicone cup with sliced cucumbers, and another silicone muffin cup with a fresh strawberry – with adorable musical picks. I finished it off with some pretzel twists.

This simple but cute little bento was for Kirsten’s morning nutrition break and packed in our favourite steeltainer snack container. One section held a rectangle silicone muffin cup with a sliced cocoa granola bar. The other section held orange segments and sliced plum with an adorable bunny pick.

This sweet little bento was for Camden’s morning nutrition break. It was packed in a cute little animal snack container. His bento held a silicone muffin cup filled with blueberries and I added a cute little pick. He also had a cereal bar and some pretzel twists tucked in behind.

And finally, a couple matching bento boxes for the kids afternoon nutrition break packed in our 4 square lock and lock boxes. I took two of the boxes out of each of the containers and the kids had half a chicken sandwich. I used alphabet pretzels to write their names on their sandwiches – it wasn’t until I uploaded the pictures that I realized the ‘N’ was backwards on BOTH of their lunches. Ugghh, it must have been a long day, lol. I don’t know how I managed that but think it’s quite funny now! Their lunches also had a silicone muffin cup with sliced baby carrots and a silicone muffin cup with more alphabet pretzels.

Here are the supplies I used to make these lunches:
