this year in bento boxes

What a year it’s been! It was my second year making bento’s for Kirsten and my first for Cam! I’d say we had another successful year of litterless lunches, healthy choices and fun food! I’ll be enjoying a little bento-making break for the summer, but may have a few posts up my sleeve for next month to get ready for back to school! I just love seeing all the pictures in one place – so bright and colourful! Instructions for making every single bento above can be found on this blog – just search the “bento boxes” tab!

Again, thanks so much for sharing all your awesome Bento box ideas. My oldest is starting kindergarten next year and I can’t wait to start making her Bento box lunches (though the idea of my baby starting school still has me a little nauseous hahaha).

Congratulations on all your fun food and lunches! They look awesome and also love seeing them all together also! I would enjoy seeing a post about your camera set-up, tips and settings for photographing these meals! It is amazing that you are able to get such a great shot of each before heading out the door, I imagine this whole camera set-up right on your kitchen countertop but I’m sure that isn’t what you do! Have a good summer break!

Thanks Jordan! I’ll try getting a post up next month before school starts again about the camera set-up I do. Trust me, it’s nothing crazy!

I have been following your blog for 2 years or so and have loved watching the progress and all your new ideas and layouts. I love this blog!! I have made a few of them and my kids always request them and eat them super fast. Hoping to do a few during the school year for my ultra picky 3rd grader. Thank you and congrats!

Wow, what an impressive collection of lunches! Your kids are lucky. Have you tried a PlanetBox? They’re stainless steel lunchboxes in the bento style. I have one and I love it! You can check them out at http://www.planetbox.com

Thank-you so much! I actually haven’t tried a planetbox, but I’m sure I will at some point. It looks awesome!
