this week in bento boxes

Happy Saturday! It’s the last weekend of September and the weather is absolutely gorgeous outside. I hope I can get out this weekend and take some Fall pics of the kiddos. The leaves are amazing right now. Here are some recent bento boxes that my kiddo’s have enjoyed…

bento2013-18

This cute elephant bento was for Kirsten’s afternoon nutrition break and packed in her owl bento box. The largest section held elephant-cut sandwiches made with a new elephant sandwich cutter kit I got. They turned out so cute! I added some flower silicone baran to fill up the space and for pretty decoration. Stuffing a napkin in the top of that compartment helped the sandwiches stay cute! The other sections held mini pretzels, a silicone muffin cup filled with sliced cheesestring, baby carrots, sliced pea pods and a silicone muffin cup with sliced cucumbers and a cute elephant pick.

This adorable panda bento was for Cam’s afternoon nutrition break and packed in his blue lego lunch box. I cut the crusts off his sandwich and it fit perfectly in that space. I added a cute piece of panda bear baran for instant cuteness! I filled his mini lego box with fruit chews, and he also had a silicone cup of sliced cheesestring, sliced cucumbers with a panda pick and baby carrots.

This easy bento is packed in our goodbyn bynto and was for Kirsten’s morning nutrition break. In one section she had an organic juice pouch, in the middle section she had flower-cut cantaloupe and fresh raspberries, and in the bottom section she had a granola bar.

This colourful bento is packed in our pink yumbox and Kirsten enjoyed it for her afternoon nutrition break. The dairy section held cubed marble cheese with a cute daisy pick, the meat section held sliced turkey sausage, the grains section held butterfly crackers (Pepperidge farm golden butter), the veggie section held alternating slices of cucumber and carrot and the fruit section held sliced kiwi and fresh blueberries. For a little treat I put some chocolate-covered sunflower seeds in the middle.

And finally, a super easy morning nutrition break bento for Cam packed in a steeltainer snack container. One section held a sliced granola bar in a green silicone rectangle muffin cup. The other section held fresh pineapple, fresh blueberries and fresh raspberries all with a cute bear pick.

Here are the supplies I used to make these lunches….

I’m curious… in the third picture, what kind of granola bar is that? What brand? It looks very similar to the Kudos brand M&M ones, but yet a little different. :)
I love the elephant sandwiches–too cute.
