this week in bento boxes

This week in bento boxes will be wrapping up our Halloween bento boxes that the kiddos enjoyed this past week. We had a great Halloween here (although wet!) and I had fun making the kids their Halloween lunches.

First up is this black cat bento for Kirsten’s afternoon nutrition break packed in an EasyLunchbox. The main section held a sandwich with a cute Chococat decoration on top. The other sections held goldfish crackers with an orange babybel with stickers and a black silicone muffin cup with sliced baby carrots.

Cam had a very similar bento box for his afternoon nutrition break featuring lots of spooky spiders. It was also packed in an EasyLunchbox. His main section held a sandwich with a spiderweb decoration and spider ring. The other sections held goldfish crackers with an orange babybel with stickers and a black silicone muffin cup with sliced baby carrots and an orange spider for decoration.

This spooky bento was for Kirsten’s afternoon nutrition break and packed in her owl good lunch box. The largest section held a pumpkin-cut sandwich with details cut out with mini cutters. I placed a piece of cheddar cheese on the sandwich so the orange would show through. The other sections held a sliced cheesestring with crackers and a silicone muffin cup with sliced cucumbers and pumpkin ring and a fresh strawberry.

And again, Camden had a very similar bento box for his afternoon nutrition break, with his featuring spooky bats. The largest compartment held a bat-cut sandwich with icing eyes and an olive mouth. Cream cheese helped the details stay on. The other sections held a sliced cheesestring and crackers and a silicone muffin cup with sliced cucumbers and a bat ring and a fresh strawberry – just like his big sisters!

And lastly, matching bento boxes for their morning nutrition breaks in our lock and lock 4-square containers. One section held some fresh raspberries and blackberries with a cute ghost ring pick, another section held a minigo yogurt, another section held fresh strawberries and the last section held a sliced granola bar.

These are the supplies I used to make these lunches…
