What You'll Need:

orange foam sheet
black foam sheet
scissors
glue
black sharpie
googly eyes

How to make the 'J' Jaguar:

1.Trace and cut an uppercase 'J' out of the orange foam sheet.
2.Using the excess orange foam, cut out small ears, four legs/feet and a face for your jaguar.
3.Draw spots all over the letter J to give your jaguar some spots.
4.Glue on the legs, ears and face. Add the eyes too!
6.Draw claws on your jaguars feet as well as a mouth on his face, colour in the ears.
7.Use the black foam sheet to cut out a tail and nose - glue on jaguar.

alphabet craft: I is for Iguana

Pin It I haven't been keeping up with the alphabet crafts very well. It's so hard finding the time with James out of town, plus Kirsten already knows her whole alphabet so my motivation is kind of gone. I promise I will keep up with it though because she does enjoy turning the letters into animals.



I is for Iguana

What You'll Need:

* green and red foam sheet
* scissors
* glue
* googly eyes

How to make the 'I' Iguana:

1.Trace and cut an uppercase 'I' out of the green foam sheet.
2.Cut out a tail and a head for your iguana. Glue them to the letter I.
3.Glue on two googly eyes.
4.Using the scissors, make little cuts on the arms and legs for claws.
5.Cut a tongue out of the red foam sheet for the iguana and glue it on.

Instructions:

1. Cut an uppercase 'H' out of one shade of pink foam sheet.
2. Cut several small hearts out of your other colours of pink foam sheets.

What You'll Need:

•brown foam sheet - 2 different shades
•Googly eye
•Glue

How to make the 'G' Goat:

1.Trace and cut an uppercase 'G' out of the lighter brown foam sheet.
2.Using the extra light brown foam, cut out two small triangles for horns.
3.Cut out a ‘beard’ and ears from the darker brown foam.
4.Fringe the goat’s beard with the scissors so it looks more like hair.
5.Glue the ears, beard, eye and horns onto your letter G to make your goat.

What You'll Need:

•Brown foam sheet, 2 different shades
•Googly eyes
•Glue

How to make the 'F' Fox:

1.Trace and cut an uppercase 'F' out of the light brown foam sheet.
2.Using the extra light brown foam, cut out two small triangles for ears.
3.Cut out a tail and nose from the dark brown foam.
4.Glue the ears, tail, eye and nose onto your letter F.

What You'll Need:

•Gray foam sheet
•Googly eyes
•Glue

How to make the 'E' Elephant:

1.Trace and cut an uppercase 'E' out of the foam sheet.
2.Using the extra foam, cut out an ear and a trunk for the elephant.
3.Glue the elephant's trunk onto the top section of the letter 'E'.
4.Glue on the ear.
5.Add a googly eye to finish!

What You'll Need

•Green foam sheet - 2 different colours
•Googly eyes
•Glue

To Make the Dinosaur

1.Trace and cut an uppercase 'D' out of the foam sheet.
2.Using the extra foam, cut out several triangles for the dinosaurs back.
3.Cut out four rectangles to use as 'legs', an oval for his head, a neck and a tail.
4.Glue the legs, tail and neck onto the back of the letter 'D'.
5.Flip the dinosaur over and add his head, scales and eye.

What You'll Need

•Red foam sheet
•Googly eyes
•Glue

1.Trace and cut an uppercase 'C' out of the foam sheet.
2.Cut out two 'claws' for your crab, cut out four long, skinny rectangles to use as 'arms' and eye extenders for the crab.
4.Glue the legs and eye extenders onto the back of the letter 'C'.
5.Flip the crab over and add the eyes and the claws

•Yellow foam sheet
•Black sharpie or marker
•White foam sheet
•Googly eye
•Black foam sheet

Instructions:

1.Cut an uppercase 'B' out of the yellow foam sheet.
2.Cut out two wings from your white foam sheet.
3.Cut 2 antenna from the black foam sheet.
4.Using a black marker, draw lines across your yellow B
5.Glue on the googly eye, antenna and wings.

alphabet craft: A is for alligator

Pin It We're going to start doing weekly alphabet crafts. Kirsten knows her whole ABC song and has for a long time, but we're working on letter recognition. We're going to make a few alphabet letter crafts each week. She loves this project.

Letter A - A is for alligator



What You'll Need:

•Green foam
•White foam
•Googly eyes
•Glue

Instructions:

1.Cut an uppercase 'A' out of the green foam sheet. Also cut two triangles from the green foam to use for the eyes.

2.Cut 5 small triangles out of the white foam to use as teeth for the alligator.

3.Turn the 'A' onto its side and glue the green triangles to the 'A' so that they look like eyes popping up.

4.Glue googly eyes onto the the green triangles.

5.Glue the white foam teeth to your alligator and enjoy!
