The quickest post I could think of right now was to post a few silly pics of the kids I took a couple months ago and never got around to posting. So that's what you're going to get. Silly kids. March break madness

Pin It Oh, March break, I was sorry to see you go. It was back to routine today. James and I went back to work, Kirsten to school and Cam to daycare. James and I took some time off last week to not only get some stuff done around the house (yeah for a new playroom!!), but also to spend some time with the kiddos. One day last week we took a drive to an awesome science center. The kids had a lot of fun. My favorite part was the butterfly room, which although was incredibly humid, was also totally awesome. Kirsten and I even had some butterflies land on us. So cool. The kids saw lots of animals there and Kirsten even held a giant African snail in her hands. Pin It Here's a few pics of my sweet little Cam taken about 2 weekends ago. He is getting quite the personality. He loves making faces and thinks he's pretty hilarious. I just think he's pretty cute! Love my silly guy!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Wishing everyone a day filled with love, joy, hugs and kisses. James and I went out for a lovely dinner last night and it was great to go out, just the two of us. I took a few quick pics of the kids on the weekend for a quick Valentine's card. I just love these two. I am so blessed.

tissue paper hearts

The kids and I made this huge tissue paper heart on the weekend and it looks pretty awesome. I cut squares out of some red, white and pink tissue paper, drew a heart in pencil on a large piece of canvas, covered the heart in glue and the kids scrunched up the tissue paper and placed it inside the heart. They did such a great job. Kirsten especially. She is getting very meticulous to detail and wanted all the tissue paper pieces inside the lines. She would actually get frustrated with Camden if he would scrunch the pieces too small, lol. She's a little anal like her mother! Here's how you can make this super cute Valentine's craft:

What you need:

tissue paper - red, white, 2 shades of pink
scissors
glue
pencil
large canvas

Directions:

1. using your scissors, cut small squares (maybe 2" x 2") out of all of your coloured tissue paper

2. using your pencil, lightly draw a heart shape on your canvas

3. squirt some glue inside the heart and spread it around so it covers all areas of the heart

4. lightly scrunch 1 piece of tissue paper at a time and press it onto the glued part inside the heart. Repeat, alternating the colours.

The 3-D-ness of the tissue paper is really cool.



And this is how my poor little Cam has been spending most of the week. The poor little guy had an ear infection last month, then got strep throat, and is now coming down with something again. I feel soooo bad for him. Feel better soon little guy.

vacation antics

Pin It I just had a lovely 2 week vacation and I'm back to work tomorrow morning. Back to the crazy Monday to Friday life. We had an amazing Christmas break here, full of Winter activities, crafts, and fun foods. I'll have lots to share with you guys coming up. For now, some pictures of the last 2 weeks. I have 2 amazing, energetic, beautiful kiddos.

I also want to personally thank you guys for the overwhelming welcome you've given me on my new facebook fan page. You guys rock!

Here's a few pictures of my sweet Kirsten. Cam has been hit or miss with the camera lately. He's either very willing to pose and smile and be cute, or wants absolutely nothing to do with getting his picture taken.

This is what happens when little brother is left alone with big sister in her bedroom. I was cleaning the kitchen and happened upon this.... It seems Kirsten had some fun dressing up her brother (and herself for that matter), lol!















And here's my little Cam with his mater teeth, ha! The kid adores cars and thought he was quite hilarious with these teeth in.

new portraits

Pin It I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. We had a fabulous one here and the kids are thoroughly exhausted from a very busy past few days. I think we'll be doing a lot of relaxing today!! Here's some pictures I took of the kids this month. I wanted new pictures to send out in our Christmas cards and I also needed to take Camden's 3-year pictures. I actually got so many great ones of both the kiddos, I had a hard time deciding which ones I wanted framed. Daddy did Cam's hair and I can't believe how my little guy looks like a little man! I just love the way they turned out and here is how I have them framed in my house:
